SWDC cup 2015 Berlin: for non-violent and clean sports

for a drug-free life

Tannenhof Berlin-Brandenburg is this year’s organizer of the International Soccer without Drugs Cup (SwDC) and the parallel symposium “Sports, Health and Rehabilitation”. The Federal Drug Commissioner Marlene Mortler will support the event as patron!

The SwDC will bring together reha patients from various drug therapy centres from all over Europe under the motto “For non-violent clean sports” to play a clean Football tournament.

Parallel to the tournament, a framework programme with partners from sports, health and politics will be held, consisting of a press conference, a welcome evening for the teams, a stadium festival, an all-star match and a final ceremony. The tournament aims at conveying the idea of drug-free, non-violent sports, drug-free lifestyle, and meeting other teams with their cultures and values.

The network European Treatment Centres for Drug addiction (euro-TC) will cooperate in designing the expert programme of the symposium. Sports and health programmes will be presented as efficient components of rehabilitation.

The programme addresses sports fans, drug addiction help centres, (former) therapy participants and an expert audience.
